Worship:
Sunday worship: 11:00 a.m. September – May; 10:00
a.m. June 1 - August 31
Sunday morning worship at Sedgefield follows a traditional order of service,
with the scripture interpreted through drama, readings and music as well as
through spoken sermons. Members of the congregation—children, youth, and
adults--serve as liturgists, acolytes, ushers, greeters.
Sedgefield enjoys worshipping in a variety of ways.
In the winter, we share a Hanging of the Greens service, a
children’s Christmas Eve Service and a formal Candlelight Communion Service. We
also have a Christmas Cantata and Children’s Pageant. Our Epiphany service is
celebrated at a meal with musical accompaniment.
A love feast is held at the beginning of Lent and the Seder
meal is part of Holy Week. Palm Sunday, Easter and Pentecost are celebrated with
drama, flowers and several languages.
